In a bid to capacitate the Bangsamoro people, particularly in preparation to the envisaged Bangsamoro government, fifteen select Moro youth from different institutions in Mindanao were sent to Istanbul, Turkey last March 8 to take Office Management & Executive Assistant Training, a capacity-building initiative for the Bangsamoro that will run until April 16 this year.
Organizers tapped expert training resource persons from the academe and other fields of specialization in Turkey to impart their knowledge to the trainees. Aside from lectures, the participants were brought to some agencies thereat.
The trainees are required to complete the modules on Office Services and Management, Office Facilities, Professional Development, Effective Communications and Communication Tools, Solution-Focused Coaching, and Skill-based Education System.
To further enhance the leadership capability of the participants, the topics Memory Techniques for Leaders, Team Management and Leadership, and Secret of Effective Leaders also constitute the learning program.
Turkey is one of the states comprising the International Contact Group which supports the Bangsamoro peace process.
It has been providing capacity-building initiatives to the Bangsamoro leaders and extends socio-economic support through sponsoring orphans and providing Iftar during Ramadhan and Qurbani meat during hajj season in Mindanao.
H.E. Esra Cankorur, Turkey ambassador to the Philippines, graced the inauguration ceremony of Ugur Suleymen Soylemez Orphanage on May 16, 2015 at Barangay Tamontaka 1 in Cotabato City.
