From the Manila Times (Apr 1): Antique hosts RP-US Balikatan 2016 exercises
ILOILO CITY: All is set for the 32nd RP-US Balikatan 2016 exercises, to be held for the first time, in Antique province on April 11-14.
Some 300 personnel of the US Air Force and 150 from the Philippine Air Force, with observers from defense forces of Japan and Australia will participate.
AFP information officer, Lt. Col. Ray Tiongson said that several areas in the capital town of San Jose are venues – San Jose seaport, EBJ Memorial Airport at Funda Landing and Camp Fullon in Barangay San Fernando.
The three main activities are humanitarian civic assistance project, combined simulator support event, and interoperability operations event which include combined logistic points, amphibious landing at San Jose seaport, and air assault and air drops at the EBJ Memorial Airport.
