The national government, through the Department of National
Defense, has allocated the sum of Php8,260,480 for the acquisition of spare
parts needed for the maintenance of the hydraulic system of one of the
Philippine Air Force's three Lockheed C-130 "Hercules" cargo
aircraft.
The hydraulic system is vital for the efficiency and safe
operation of the aircraft.
Bid opening is scheduled for March 10 at 9 a.m. at the PAF
Procurement Center Conference Room, Villamor Air Base, Pasay City
Prospective bidders should have an experience in similar
project within the last five years.
A hydraulic drive system is a drive or transmission system
that uses pressurized hydraulic fluid to power hydraulic machinery.
The term hydrostatic refers to the transfer of energy from
flow and pressure, not from the kinetic energy of the flow.
