From the Philippine Information Agency (Dec 7): 11 MNLF coops receive hauler trucks
The national government through the PAyapa at MAsaganang PamayaNAn (PAMANA) Program recently turned over hauler trucks to 11 Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) communities in Maguindanao and Sulu provinces.
The release of the six-wheeler trucks was facilitated by the Department of Agriculture in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (DA-ARMM).
ARMM Gov. Mujiv Hataman and DA Regional Secretary Atty. Laisa Masuhud-Alamia led the distribution of the livelihood assistance to MNLF cooperatives on December 3.
Engr. Guiomla S. Satol, PAMANA focal person, disclosed that the six-wheeler hauler trucks were comprised KIA Bongo and Isuzu Elf with combined value of PhP5.35 million.
Recipients of the KIA trucks were Buhanginan Agri-Marine Producers Cooperative, Sharief Agri-Marine Producers Cooperative and Daraya Agri-Marine Producers Cooperative of Patikul town, Sahabat Agri-Marine Producers Cooperative at Kausawan Producers Cooperative of Maimbung, Buansa Agri-Marine Producers Cooperative ng Indananm Suba-Suba Producers Cooperative of Pandami; at Bandang Agri-Marine Producers Cooperative of Talipao-pawang, all in Sulu Province.
Meanwhile, MNLF Agribusiness Cooperative of South Upi town, Ganasi Kandalamdinga Marketing Cooperative of North Upi and Malangit MNLF Farmers Marketing Cooperative of Pandag in Maguindanao were given Isuzu Elf trucks.
The distribution of trucks to these recipient cooperatives aims to hasten the transportation of agricultural products from farms to their intended markets, Satol said.
