From the Philippine News Agency (Nov 4): 133 senior police officials pass NAPOLCOM PESE written exam

The National Police Commision (Napolcom) announced on Wednesday that a total of 133 or 49.63% of the 268 police examinees passed the Police Executive Service Eligibility (PESE) Written Examination conducted on August 23, 2015 in Quezon City, Cebu City and Davao City.

In a statement, Interior and Local Government Secretary and NAPOLCOM Chairman Mel Senen S. Sarmiento said that the 133 passers are qualified to undergo the Validation Interview on November 14-15, 2015, the second and final phase of the PES eligibility process.

NAPOLCOM Vice-Chairman and Executive Officer Eduardo U. Escueta said that the 133 senior police officials who successfully passed the written phase consists of 51 Police Chief Inspectors and 82 Police Superintendents.

“The PESE is an eligibility requirement for the ranks of Police Senior Superintendent, Police Chief Superintendent, Police Director, Police Deputy Director General and Police Director General,” Escueta added.

The PESE test contains analytical questions on police leadership and police values designed to select the best future leaders in the police service.
