From the Philippine News Agency (Oct 25): DND allots PhP449.3-M for acquisition of ammunition, explosives and magazine assembly

The Department of National Defense (DND) is allocating PhP449,398,421 for the manufacture, supply and delivery of ammunition, explosives and magazine assembly.

Officials said the fund will be sourced from DND/AFP Fiscal Year 2014 General Appropriations and Philippine Army Appropriations for Calendar Year 2015.

To be acquired are the following:

-- Cartridge, 40mm, high explosive 32,260 rounds for PhP70,004,200 with winning bidders needed to deliver the items within 180 calendar days.

-- Cartridge, 5.56mm Ball, SS109/M855 11,354,405 rounds, for PhP320,194,221 with deliveries to be completed within 180 calendar days.

-- Magazine Assembly for M-16 Rifle 118,400 rounds for PhP59,200,000 with deliveries to be completed within 180 calendar days.

Interested bidders must have completed a similar project within the last five to 10 years.

The DND Bidding and Awards Committee will hold a pre-bid conference on Nov. 4 at 10 a.m. at DND BAC Conference Room, Basement, Left Wing, DND Building, Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City.

Bid opening is on Nov. 19, 10 a.m., also on the same venue.
