From the Philippine News Agency (Sep 14): 2 anti-communist group members gunned down in Bukidnon

Two anti-communist group members were shot and killed by an estimated 15 New People's Army (NPA) rebels in Valencia City, Bukidnon Sunday.

The incident took place 8 a.m. The fatalities were identified as Reymond Licanay and his brother, Roy, both of legal age and residents of Sitio Tandakol, Barangay Lilingayon, Valencia City.

Both men are members of the so-called "White Tape Bolo Battalion Anti-Communist Group".

The two were hunting at a forested area of Sonasilic when fired upon by the rebels, killing them instantly.

Pursuit operations are still ongoing as of this posting.
