A Sikorsky S-70A medium helicopter of the Philippine Air
Force (PAF) is now up for maintenance.
In line with this, a total of Php2,301,260 is allocated for
the acquisition of spare parts and maintenance of the said aircraft.
The Air Force is known to operate three units of the S-70A.
Pre-bid conference is scheduled on May 21 at 1 p.m. at the
PAF Procurement Center Conference Room, Villamor Air Base, Pasay City .
Submission and bid opening is on June 4 at 9 a.m. also on
the same venue.
Prospective bidders should have an experience in similar
project within the last five years.
The Sikorsky S-70 is a medium transport helicopter family
manufactured by Sikorsky Aircraft.
It was developed for the US Army in the 1970s, winning a
competition to be designated the UH-60 Black Hawk and spawning a large family
in U.S.
military service.
New and improved versions of the UH-60 have been developed
since. Civilian versions, and some military versions are produced under various
S-70 model designations.
