Task Force ZAMBASULTA announced that a Tausug-Chinese
businesswoman, snatched by Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) last Feb. 15, was freed by
his captors last March 18.
This was disclosed in a statement Friday by Ensign Chester
Ian Ramos, Task Force ZAMBASULTA public information office chief.
Ramos identified the freed victim as 58-year-old Hja. Dimkim
Yap.
Ramos said that Yap was
released by her captors in Patikul town, Sulu.
The victim was abducted by six armed men onboard a Tamaraw
FX van at Chinese Pier, Jolo, Sulu on Feb. 15.
