Troopers from the 6th Infantry Division's Joint Task Force
Central successfully recovered a Mark 2 fragmentation grenade during law
enforcement operations in Barangay Iginagampong, Datu Unsay town, Maguindanao
Wednesday.
Capt. Jo-anne Petinglay, 6th Infantry Division spokesperson,
said the explosive was owned by the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF)
who occupied and blocked the national highway in the said barangay.
Recovery took place during clearing operations in the area.
An all-out offensives against the BIFF is being undertaken
by the Joint Task Force Central and the Philippine National Police.
