Nine people were injured in separate ambushes by suspected members of the New People's Army in Davao City and Bukidnon Sunday.
Alleged members of the New People's Army burned several heavy trucks along the highway in Sitio Kipolot, Barangay Palakapaw, Quezon in Bukidnon past 5 a.m.
The rebels also attacked a Citizen Armed Force Geographical Unit (CAFGU) detachment in the area.
There were no reported killed or injured in the incident.
Meanwhile, suspected members of the NPA also ambushed members of the 1003rd Manuever Company of the Regional Public Safety Battalion, who were part of the responding team assigned to the burning incident.
Six policemen were injured in the ambush.
In yet another incident, a police car was ambushed by suspected NPA rebels in Sitio New Maharlika, Barangay Baganhan in Marilog Distric, Davao City Sunday afternoon.
A landmine was planted in the area where the police were on patrol.
Two policemen and a civilian were injured in the incident.
