Unidentified men on board a van tried to pull two coeds into their vehicle Thursday night along Vitaliano Agan Sr., Nuñez Extension, Barangay Camino Nuevo of Zamboanga City, police said.
But they were able to resist and manage to get inside the premises of Ciudad Medical Zamboanga hospital thus, preventing the suspects from chasing them, according to the police.
Almost abducted were identified as 21-year-old Gizel Liao y Dellosa of Barangay Sta. Maria and 20-year-old Celyne Prill Fernandez y Hugo of Crispin Atilano, Barangay Tetuan, both are Radiological Technology students of Universidad de Zamboanga (UZ).
Police investigation showed the two were walking along the said road when a color white vehicle suddenly stopped in their midst and attempted to drag them into the vehicle.
Case investigator of Police Station 11 conducted an ocular investigation and gathered information from witness and secured a copy of the Close Circuit Television (CCTV) of the hospital to possibly identify the suspect’s getaway vehicle.
The incident is under thorough investigation.
