Businesswoman abducted in Sulu

A 58-year-old businesswoman was abducted by six unidentified men at the vicinity of Barangay Chinese Pier, Jolo town, Sulu Sunday afternoon.

Capt. Rowena Muyuela, Western Mindanao Command spokesperson, citing reports forwarded by Joint Task Group Sulu, said the incident took place at 12: 30 p.m.

The victim was identified as a certain Hja Dingkim Yap, a resident of the above-mentioned barangay.

Yap was reportedly snatched by six men and forcibly taken into a unmarked blue colored FX which then motored off to an unknown direction.

Pursuing operations are now being conducted by police and military units in the area.
