Mayor Ma. Isabelle Climaco-Salazar lauded on Tuesday the local police authorities for a job well-done in addressing the latest bombing incident in this city.

Mayor Salazar’s statement came after the local police arrested three suspects few hours an improvised bomb exploded late Monday at a massage parlor and videoke bar here.

The Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) identified the arrested suspects as Marcel Jumadil, Jumadan Dassan, 40, and Alshirif Sabdani, 41.

Senior Supt. Angelito Casimiro, ZCPO director, said the suspects were arrested in follow-up operations after the bomb explosion.

No one was either killed or injured in the bomb explosion around 8:50 p.m. Monday at Princess massage parlor and videoke bar along Tomas Claudio Street downtown.

Salazar described the bombing as “a very unfortunate incident.”

The mayor called on the local populace to support the police in the maintenance of peace and order by way of providing timely information.
