Nine soldiers were injured when the truck they were riding
fell into a ravine in the province
of Zamboanga Sibugay , the
police reported Wednesday.
Senior Supt. Roberto Roy Bahian, Zamboanga Sibugay police
director, said that the incident took place around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday in
Barangay Gandiangan, Imelda municipality.
Bahian said the soldiers were traveling aboard a military
truck driven by Sergeant Lito Servin Jr. to Zamboanga
City coming from Carmen, North Cotabato when the vehicle fell into a ravine after
the driver lost control of the steering wheel while negotiating a curved road.
Servin and his companions, whose identities were not
immediately available, belong to the Army’s 7th Field Artillery Battalion (FAB)
based in Carmen, North Cotabato .
They were rushed to Amoroso medical clinic in Imelda town
for treatment.
