The Bangsamoro Leadership and Management Institute (BLMI) in coordination with the Bangsamoro Transition Commission (BTC) conducted information drive on Human Resource Mapping (HRM) for Bangsamoro professionals in clustered areas in mainland Mindanao and island provinces that started in June until August, this year.
On July 27, BLMI held information campaign in the island provinces of Mindanao II in clustered areas of Sulu and Tawi- Tawi. It was held at Buansa, Indanan, Sulu. Moro professionals from Sulu and Tawi-Tawi participated in the activity. Another engagement took placed at the Multi-purpose hall at Panamao proper, Sulu on July 29 where more professionals also participated.
Hadji Nur Tingkasan, HRM documenter together with some volunteers from the communities involved facilitated the program. An officer from the BLMI lectured on the HRM-IDC main objectives and expounded on other details of the program.
On August 5, the delegation flew to Tawi-Tawi province and held similar information drive at Beach side Inn Hotel, Barangay Simandakit, Bongao on August 6, 2014.
On August 8, the group proceeded to island municipalities in the southern part of the province. The activity was held at Multi -purpose Hall at Barangay Tup-tup, Bannaran, Sapa-Sapa Municipality. Professionals from nearby Municipalities of Tandubas, South Ubian and Languyan attended the program.
On August 10, 2014, similar program was carried out by Mindanao Alliance for Peace and Development (MAPAD), a Cotabato City-based non-government organization. The program was held at the Tawi-Tawi Provincial Capitol Building, Bongao. The provincial government employees, Tawi-Tawi LGU’s and employees of line agencies expressed their full support to the BTC-JICA Program. Members of the academe, CSO’s and other sectors joined the activity.
This writer, BLMI Research Officer lectured on GPH-MILF Peace process and other related issues. The Sama and Tao Sug professionals that attended the program were happy to be included in the human resource mapping.
The BLMI and MAPAD officers expressed their gratitude to MILF Provincial Political committee and its line agencies, the Provincial Local Governments Units and the Bangsamoro professionals for their warm facilitation and responsiveness in the activity. The participants conveyed their heartfelt appreciation to Bangsamoro Transition Commission (BTC) and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) for their joint program on human resource mapping for Bangsamoro Professionals.
