The
Department of National Defense (DND) has re-set the first stage bid submission
for its long range patrol aircraft project, which has a budget of
P5,976,000,000, to July 9.
Two
aircraft are to be acquired under this program.
It
was originally scheduled for June 13 but Defense undersecretary Fernando
Manalo, Special Bids and Awards Committee-1, said that it will be re-set for
July 9.
No
reason was given in their supplemental bid bulletin which was posted at the
Defense website.
It
will be held at the Department of National Defense bidding awards committee
conference room at basement, right wing, DND building, Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon
City around 10 a.m.
Money
for the long-range patrol aircraft project will be sourced from the Armed
Forces of the Philippines Modernization Act Trust Fund.
The
contract includes sensors, sensor integration, mission support facilities and
integrated logistic support, DND undersecretary Fernando Manalo said.
Winning
bidders are required to deliver the aircraft within 1,035 calendar days upon
receipt of the notice to proceed.
Manalo
added that participants must have completed a similar project within the last
10 years.
