Explosions rock Pikit town in Cotabato

From GMA News (May 12): Explosions rock Pikit town in Cotabato

Two explosions rocked the town of Pikit in Cotabato province early Monday, causing minor damage but no injuries, police said.

No one has claimed responsibility for the blast, according to a report on GMA News TV's Balitanghali.

The television report quoted police as saying the first explosion occurred at 6 a.m. near the town gymnasium. A second explosion went off near an electric post in Barangay Batulawan.

Meanwhile, an improvised explosive device was found some seven meters away from the site of the second explosion.
 
Police are still trying to determine the identity of the group behind the incident, which caused tension in the area.
