Security forces have arrested a ranking Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) leader during operations on
Arrested was Haik Abu Aswad, he was nabbed around 5 p.m..
Aswad was tagged as the head of the ASG unit that abducted the two European birdwatchers in Tawi-Tawi in 2012.
He is a trusted henchman of ASG leader Radullan Sahiron.
The suspect is wanted for several counts of kidnapping and other heinous crimes.
He is now undergoing custodial debriefing prior his transfer to
