From InterAksyon (Aug 1): Explosives components seized in Sulu raid
Authorities seized 500 blasting caps and 44 kilos of ammonium nitrate, which is a component in making explosives, during a raid in Jolo, Sulu Thursday.
The raid, carried out by a composite team from the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, the Sulu provincial police and Special Action Force, also led to the arrest of Hadjie Naren Akmad and the recovery of a .45 caliber pistol from the suspect.
