Western Command activates Task Force 'Bronco'

From the Philippine News Agency (Jun 26): Western Command activates Task Force 'Bronco'

Western Command head Lt. Gen. Rustico Guerrero on Wednesday ordered the activation of Joint Task Force "Bronco" which will oversee all search, rescue, and retrieval efforts for the two pilots and the downed OV-10 "Bronco" attack plane.

The unit will be headed by 570th Composite Tactical Wing commander Brig. Gen. Conrado Parra, Jr.,

Joint Task Force 'Bronco' will be composed of naval, air, and ground units of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) in Palawan.

"(It) shall put in effect all necessary means to locate and retrieve the missing aircraft and pilots," Guerrero stressed.

Meanwhile, search-and-rescue operations are still ongoing amid heavy rains in the area since 10:00 a.m. Wednesday.
