From the Philippine Information Agency (Apr 8): U.S. Embassy to observe Philippine Day of Valor on April 9

The United States Embassy in Manila and its affiliated offices will be closed to the public on Tuesday, April 9 in observance of Araw ng Kagitingan or Day of Valor.

In a statement, the United States joins the Philippines in honoring the sacrifices and heroism of Filipino and American soldiers who fought in World War II, particularly those who fought in Bataan in defense of freedom and democracy.

The Embassy and its affiliated offices will resume services on Wednesday, April 10. (U.S. Embassy, Manila-Public Affairs Section/RJB/JEG/PIA-NCR)
