The Central Mindanao Front (CMF) of the Bangsamoro Islamic Armed Forces (BIAF) of Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) conducted a capability building training on leadership and management for the officers of the BIAF 116th Base Command in Marogong, Lanao del Sur last April 6-7, 2013.
The Central Mindanao Front is under the command of Gordon Shyfullah Khan which has jurisdiction over the Central Mindanao Region including 116th Base Command at Camp Madina in Lanao Del Sur.
Referring to the capability building program, Mar Ebrahim, Administrative Officer of CMF said that, “It was a complementary program of the Moro Front in support to the advocacies on the Framework Agreement signed by GPH-MILF on October 15, 2012 at Manila”. “These initiatives of the BIAF-CMF are being undertaken to assure widest acceptability of the FAB by stakeholders in the region”, said Mr. Ebrahim who facilitated the program.
During the last day of the activity, Sheikh Abdulsalam Alabat, member of the Steering Committee of the Bangsamoro Leadership and Management Institute (BLMI) stressed the importance of the Sharia’h Law as it guides every Muslim on how he act and behave at all times of his life on earth.
Sheikh Alabat, told his audience that, “The basic rights of all residents in the proposed Bangsamoro Region either Moro, Settler or Lumad are protected under the FAB. On the other hand, Zamin Unti, Administrative Officer of BLMI urged members and officers of the 116th Base Command to strengthen their capabilities in enlightening the people about the essence of the FAB.
“This undertaking is a collective endeavour of every individual in the proposed Bangsamoro Region in explaining and clarifying to other people the benefits that maybe derived from the implementation of the FAB”, Mr. Unti further said.
Meanwhile, Nas Pulindao, a member of the Committee on Information elaborated further on the contents of the GPH-MILF Peace Accord.
The participants comprising battalion, company and platoon commanders of the BIAF 116th Base Command expressed their full support to the on-going peace process.
