Newly promoted Brig. Gen. Lysander Suerte of the 1003rd Infantry “Raptor” Brigade recently turned over his post to Col. Buenaventura Pascual with high hopes that socio-civic initiatives would be sustained. Speaking during the turning over ceremony held on Oct. 31 at the 1003rd Infantry Brigade Headquarters in Brgy New Visayas, Sto Tomas, Suerte echoed the assurance of Provincial Gov. Rodolfo del Rosario that the provincial government will continue hauling services to barangays through the Convergence for Peace and Development. The Convergence for Peace and Development known as the Convergence, was born during the 1003rd IB stint of Suerte with whom del Rosario planned the idea early last year, to pool together the resources of Peace and Development Outreach Program (PDOP) of the Philippine Army and the PEOPLE Development Agenda of the provincial government.... Suerte held his post as the commanding officer of 1003rd IB for 23 months. He will be taking a new position as the assistant commanding general of the 3rd Infantry Division. In his reply, Pascual assured to continue the civil military initiatives left behind by Suerte, taking stock of his experience as former Civil Military Operations officer and former commander former commander of Task Force Zamboanga....
