HINABANGAN, Western Samar — A Philippine Army (PA) brigade based in Samar will augment the Philippine National Police’s peacekeeping forces in Eastern Visayas when the region observes All Saints’ Day and All souls’ Day. Col. Romeo Labador, commanding officer of the PA’s 801st brigade’s 8th Infantry Division based in Barangay Fatima, this town, said soldiers under his command conducting internal security operations in their area of responsibilities will augment police, barangay officials and tanods, religious groups, and other concerned organizations in their respective localities in the maintenance of peace and order, particularly in cemeteries in the rural or hinterland areas, Oct. 31-Nov. 2.
