From the Philippine News Agency (Oct 3): Army colonel names new Maguindanao MIB commander

A veteran Army official was named as the new commander of the First Mechanized Infantry Brigade (MIB)in Maguindanao. Colonel Edgardo Gonzales on Tuesday assumed his new position as new commander of the 1st MIB based here to continue its mission of securing vital government installations and civilian population. Gonzales, formerly deputy chief of staff of the 6th Infantry "Kampilan" Division, replaced Colonel Mayoralgo dela Cruz, who was reassigned as deputy commander of Light Armor Division (LAD)in Tarlac....
