LOOK|| PEACE SUSTAINERS REVISIT CONFLICT VULNERABLE AREAS (CVAs)As part of the unit's sustainment efforts, a simultaneous send-off of Mobile Community Sustainment Support Teams (MCSST) was conducted Monday, January 22, 2024 during the Flag Raising Ceremony at the municipalities of Sta Cruz, Kiblawan, Magsaysay, and Matanao in Davao del Sur, Makilala in North Cotabato, Columbio in Sultan Kudarat and Tampakan in South Cotabato.
The MCSSTs play a crucial role in fostering sustainable development and community well-being. The goal of MCSSTs extends beyond immediate relief efforts, aiming to create lasting impact through strategic support. These teams will be revisiting Conflict Vulnerable Areas (CVAs) that are possible venues for Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) recovery.
Lieutenant Colonel Anthony Fer S Solamo, Commander of 39th Infantry Battalion states that this initiative underscores the unit’s unwavering commitment in sustaining an NPA free area of responsibility.
This proactive approach not only addresses immediate socio-economic concerns but also contributes to the long term well-being of the community. Additionally, MCSSTs will be collaborating with national and local government agencies, non-government organizations and communities to ensure a comprehensive whole of nation approach in maintaining a peaceful and progressive communities.
