Sara Duterte and her narrow-minded mindset and obsession against all forms of democratic resistance is the number one danger to students and their teachers. She demands uncritical support for the military and its brutal war against those critical of the Marcos government and the ruling system. Anyone who refuses is labeled a communist or communist sympathizer.
She uses her position in the education department as platform to carry out the propaganda objectives of the military and the notorious National Task Force (NTF)-Elcac and its increasingly vicious war of suppression.
Since Marcos and Duterte assumed power in June 30, 2022, at least 97 people have been killed by the military and state armed agents. Among the victims are four children.
