JUST IN: On May 26, 2023, a joint operation between the AFP and PNP led to the arrest of two top communist terrorist (CT) leaders of the CPP/NPA/NDF. Rosita Solayao Taboy, @Laling, Secretary of the Regional Organisational Department, former (ROD) and member of EXECOM of Eastern Visayas Regional Party Committee in San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan, and a staff member of the National Finance Commission of the CPP-NPA-NDF.Legaspi Pondang Antonio @Beto, partner of @Laling and a demolition expert from the National Operations Command. Troops confiscated two handguns, an Improvised Explosive Device, gadgets, and subversive documents.
The captured CTs had several arrest warrants for murder cases from the different Municipal Trial Courts in Northern Samar.
