DAVAO DEL SUR – The Youth For Peace Movement – TALBOS continues to promote peace and solidarity as they participate in the simultaneous information awareness initiated by the 39th Infantry Battalion and various Local Government Units in Mindanao on March 29, 2022.
The said endeavor was conducted specifically in the municipality of Makilala and Tulunan of North Cotabato, Matanao in Davao del Sur, Columbio, Sultan Kudarat and Tampakan, South Cotabato this is in support to disproved Communist Terrorist Groups claim on government’s irresponsibility and leniency.
Simultaneous Information Awareness is promulgated to provide bigger platforms and venues for citizens across the province to be able to understand and be informed of the disinformation and claims of the CTGs that the current government has done nothing in response to peace and solidarity in their efforts to convince people to side and fight with them.
The initiative of the leftists to disinform and misinform the citizens is rooted in the fact that their force is slowly and gradually decreasing because of the efforts and guidance of the government through the successful manifestation of the National Task Force in Ending Local Communist Armed Conflicts (NTF-ELCAC).
With the success of the activity, it begins with the “RUN FOR PEACE”, a three-kilometer fun run intended for all the citizens to be part of the momentous occasion that may bring appropriate information about the government’s efforts and initiative in attaining holistic peace and development.
The activity is concluded with simultaneous community outreach programs that provide involved citizens with food packs, health kits, school supplies, and other civic-military services that will cement the collaborative effort of the government agencies and other partner agencies from the private sectors.
“We are always supportive of whatever peace-building events that will be conducted since we are really promoting peace and development. We will continue to work with other partners for us to deliver services that will surely push for sustainable peace and solidarity.”
The Youth for Peace Movement is a non-partisan organization that aims to promote peace and development. It encourages young individuals from all folks of life to be part of the organization to collaborate for its goals and objectives in attaining peace and development that will array the successful undertakings for youth development, organizational development, peace communication, and community development.
