MILF: UBJP Gensan holds orientation of newly-installed officers, members from 16 barangays

GENERAL SANTOS CITY (Feb 15, 2022) -After the series of organizing in the different Barangays, the United Bangsamoro Justice Party (UBJP)- General Santos City held a general orientation attended by more than five hundred newly-installed officers and members in 16 barangays on Saturday at the Oval Gymnasium of this town.

Mastor Seddic, the Chief Executive Officer of UBJP-Gensan delivered the rationale of the event. He expressed confidence that with the collaboration of the officers and members anchored on the spirit of unity and volunteerism, the goals of the party will be achieved.

The UBJP platform was elaborated by Quraish Langcap, Regional Staff of UBJP Southern Mindanao and UBJP Provincial Chief Executive Officer of Sultan Kudarat.

Tomy Nawa, Executive Assistant to the UBJP Vice-President for Southern Mindanao, shared some updates on the UBJP Southern Mindanao. He also related briefly the history of UBJP and how it spread in the Bangsamoro region and other provinces in Mindanao.

Apo Adam Pukeg, the adviser of UBJP Gensan, gave his message of support. He underscored the essence of unity and cooperation among the UBJP members and officers to successfully accomplish its plan of action for the city.

The role of women sector to achieve the UBJP mission was elaborated by Amira A. Kalim, Admin and Finance Head of UBJP Southern Mindanao.

Ashikin Buday, the deputy committee chairman for the youth of UBJP Gensan, gave the message of the Muslim youth in the city. He said the youth is willing to share their time and efforts for the realization of the objectives of the party for the Muslim communities.

Also present to give their messages of support were Aida Seddic, Directress of National Commission on Muslim Filipinos-Gensan, Jocelyn Lambac-Kanda, Head of City Mayor’s Office Integrated Cultural Communities Affairs Division and Datu Abdulhamid Ingkong, Raja Muda sa Sugoda Buayan.

Lambac-Kanda imparted the programs and projects of the city government for its Muslim constituents. She urged the audiences to sustain the partnership between the LGU and Muslim organizations in serving the interest of the Muslim communities.

Gensan City Mayor Ronnel Rivera together with his wife Jane Rivera also graced the event. The city mayor appreciated the strong cooperation between the Muslim leaders of the city and the local government unit in charting peace and development of Gensan.
