Nueva Ecija – In relation to the 53rd Founding Anniversary of the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP), Former rebels denounce atrocities committed by the party in an indignation rally held at Brgy Cavite, Guimba, Nueva Ecija on December 26, 2021.
Part of the activity was the burning of CPP-NPA-NDF’s flags signifying their denouncement of CPP-NPA terroristic and violent acts to the Filipino people. Also, releasing of white balloons symbolizes peace and freedom for all FRs from the Communist Terrorist Groups. The personalities also re-affirmed their allegiance to the government during the event.
On their testimonies as former rebels, Mr Aquilino Lopez @ Ka Aqui, former Chairman of AMGL Nueva Ecija said that “Kami po ay nagpapasalamat ng lubusan sa ating pamahalaan sa pamumuno ni Pangulong duterte sapagkat dahil sa kanya kami ay nakapag bagong buhay na at malayo sa karahasan at mapanlinlang na CPP-NPA at kami ay nanawagan sa mga ibang kasamahan na nasa panig pa ng makakaliwang grupo na mag balik loob na sa pamahalaan para magkaroon ng tunay na kapayapan”, and Mrs Florida Sibayan @ Ka Pong, Chairman Magbubukid ng Balete Hacienda Luisita on her part said that “Kailangan natin ay magkaisa at magtulungan upang ipabagsak at tapusin na ang CPP-NPA na nagdudulot ng karahasan sa bansa”.
The said activity was also attended and witnessed by personnel of Guimba Municipal Police Station; 3rd CMO Company, 7CMO Bn; Alpha Company, 84IB; and the Brgy Officials headed by Hon Alfredo Angel, Brgy Chairman.
On his part, Captain Dexter O Magbitang, Company Commander, 3rd CMO Company said that “Tayo ay magsama-sama upang wakasan na ang mahigit limampung taong panlilinlang at pagsasamantala ng mga komunistang terorista grupo sa sambayan Pilipino”.
Meanwhile, Lieutenant Colonel Enrico Gil C Ileto, Commanding Officer of the 84th Infantry (Victorious) Battalion expressed his utmost gratitude to all former rebels who facilitated the activity that strongly condemn the Communist Terrorist Group’s (CTGs) 53 years of atrocities committed to the Filipino people.
“Ang inyong kasundaluhan at kapulisan ay patuloy na gagampanan ang aming mga tungkulin at hiling po namin na tayo ay magkaisa tungo sa mithiing kapayapaan”. Ltc Ileto said.
