Minister of the Ministry of the Interior and Local Government Atty Naguib G Sinarimbo reminisce his company with Shekih Abdulkadir Abdullah citing the latter’s contribution providing religious guidance to the Bangsamoro people.
In his post at Facebook on Sunday (Aug 29), Minister Sinarimbo recalled the moments they were together in giving services to the Bangsamoro communities.
“He was a constant in these trips providing us and our people with religious guidance,” Minister Sinarimbo said.
He also narrated their travel to different camps and communities of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front after the signing of the Comprehensive Agreement on the Bangsamoro in 2015 to explain the provisions of the peace accord.
“We reached as far as the southern tip of Palawan and the islands in BASULTA,” Minister Sinarimbo further recalled.
He also related his last engagement with the demised Islamic scholar that was during the launch of the program for the rehabilitation of our communities in the 63 barangays from North Cotabato.
“I received the sad news from Von Al Haq whom I am supposed to meet that afternoon who told me we needed to cancel the meeting as Ustadz just passed onto the mercy of Allah,” the Interior minister related.
Sheikh Abdullah was sent to his final resting place at Talitay, Maguindanao Province.
