Mati City, Davao Oriental – The 701st Infantry “Kagitingan” Brigade Commander, COL OLIVER C MAQUILING INF (GSC) PA attended a “Limitless Youth Summit” dubbed as “Together for Peace”, a collaboration between Global Impact, a non-government organization and the Provincial Government of Davao Oriental which aims to promote awareness against human trafficking and the recruitment done by the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) from the youth and women’s sector in the urban area.

The activity was attended by more or less a hundred and fifty youth and women participants whose ages range between fifteen to thirty-five and who come from four barangays within the City of Mati namely Barangay Sainz, Dahican, Central and Matiao.

Aside from the different team building activities and raffle prizes given for the youth and women participants, messages were also imparted from different leaders who attended the summit. Representatives from different national government agencies and local government units were present to include the Vice Governor of Davao Oriental, Honorable Niño Sotero L. Uy Jr., the Chief of Staff, Office of the Governor, Mr. Ednar G. Dayanhgirang, the Executive Consultant in the City of Mati, Mr. Allan E. Andrada, Provincial Director of the Davao Oriental Police Provincial Office, PCOL EFREN E ORLINA, the 701st Brigade Commander, LTC JULIUS M MUNAR, the 66th Infantry Battalion Commander and the head of the Global Impact, Pastor Amy Muranko.

The activity was highlighted with a covenant signing of the memorandum of understanding between the Global Impact and Provincial Government of Davao Oriental to support our goal of ensuring a human trafficking and CTG Recruitment Free Province.
