Posted to Kalinaw News (Aug 28, 2021): Troops overran terrorists’ lair, seize paraphernalia in Bukidnon
ARAKAN, COTABATO – After 10 minutes of a firefight with more or less seven (7) Communist NPA Terrorists (CNTs), operating troops of 72nd Infantry Battalion and 3rd Infantry seized their paraphernalia at Purok 10, Barangay Kiburiao, Quezon, Bukidnon on August 26, 2021.
Among the said seized items were: one (1)– R4 Rifle (Upper Receiver); 128 rds – 5.56 cal ammo; one (1) Improvised Hand Grenade; three (3) Blasting Caps; two (2) IED Switching Device; one (1) Binoculars; three (3) Cauldrons; (1) Casserole; two (2) Back Packs; one (1) 3ml Syringe; one (1) 6ml Syringe; one (1) Intravenous Set; one (1) Intravenous Fluid; four (4) Lubricating Jelly Sachet; three (3) Scissors; eight (8) Poncho Tents; nine (9) Fish Hooks; Assorted Medicine; Assorted Food Items; Assorted Hygiene Items; and Assorted Personal Belongings
The said CNTs were believed to be members of GF57, SRC3, SMRC led by Ruel Villanueva Cabales @Aman, Secretary. SRC3.
Thru the relentless information gathering and focused military operation of 72IB, the extortion, burning activities and recruitment schemes of the CNTs to the residents were prevented.
72IB calls on the remaining members of the communist terrorist group to surrender peacefully, embrace the peace initiatives of the Government thru the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (ECLIP) and live together with their families and loved ones.
