LOPE DE VEGA, Northern Samar- The Pambujan Municipal Tadk Force -ELCAC provided a decent burial for the unidentified New People’s Army (NPA) rebel who died during the encounter on February 15, 2021 in Brgy. Cagbigaho, Pambujan, Northern Samar.

The cadaver of the said rebel was recovered by the troops from 43IB after it was abandoned by his fleeing NPA comrades, and then turned over to Pambujan Municipal Police Station (MPS).

A 3-day wake for the said rebel was held at Pambujan Municipal Auditorium. On 19 February 2021, the unidentified rebel was finally laid to rest after being given a decent burial at the public cemetery of Pambujan.

"Nananawagan ako sa mga NPA na nasa bundok pa, na sumuko na kayo at tanggapin ang tulong ng gobyerno habang kayo ay buhay. Hindi kagaya ni brother (killed NPA), ang tulong ng gobyerno na kanyang nakamtan ay ang ihatid na lamang siya sa kanyang huling hantungan ," Commanding Officer of 43IB Lieutenant Colonel Raymundo C Picut Jr said.
