From Kalinaw News (Feb 3, 2921): Dayanghirang Offers Cash Incentives to Surrenderees and Tipsters



Mati City, Davao Oriental – Davao Oriental Governor Nelson Dayanghirang offered to extend P 100, 000 cash assistance to any NPA who will surrender and another P 50,000 to any tipster or facilitator of surrender.

“We welcome with open arms our brother NPA who will surrender. Please come back to your families and homes. We are ready to help to you through livelihood, education and housing because we want peace in the province,” Dayanghirang explained during the local peacebuilding meeting held at Honey’s Hotel, Mati City with military and police commanders as well as DILG Privincial Director Orle Cabaobao.

“I warn all violators that the Anti-Terror Law of 2020 signed by President Duterte will be strictly enforced. Anyone supporting the NPA will be put to jail,” Dayanghirang added.

Meanwhile, the Battalion Commanders reported that there were no monitored NPA violent incidents in their respective areas of operations as well as no indication of NPA recruitment and recovery efforts as they are in dwindling status.

The newly-promoted Commander of 701st Brigade BGen Krishnamurti A Mortela PA, thanked the Governor for the full support given to the Army. “The sincere support of Governor Dayanghirang and all local government units and line agencies in Davao Oriental greatly contributed to the defeat of Front South and Sub-Regional Committee 1. Let us push our convergence further to end insurgency by December 2021 ”, BGen Mortela added.
