CAMP Siongco, Maguindanao – The Joint Task Force Central together with the Provincial Government of Maguindanao launched on November 11, 2020 the Peace Map dubbed as “AGILA – HAVEN (Anak na may GInintuang LAyunin upang Hintuan Ang Violent Extremism Ngayon)” held in Provincial Capitol Extension Office, Buluan, Maguindanao.




The said program was crafted by the provincial government of Maguindanao thru the leadership of Governor Bai Mariam Mangudadatu in partnership with the Joint Task Force Central led by Major General Juvymax R. Uy, the Commander of 6th Infantry (KAMPILAN) Division and stakeholders to strengthen the program on Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (PCVE).

“6ID has been working hand-in-hand with the local government units of Maguindanao and North Cotabato in implementing a mechanism that will provide a comprehensive, inclusive, enduring, and culture sensitive program to address violent extremism for lasting peace, security and development,” said Maj. Gen. Uy during the launching program.

Likewise, Lt. Col. Anhouvic Atilano, Commanding officer of Civil Military Operations Battalion and 6ID Spokesperson presented the overview of the said program, defining the PCVE initiatives of the Provincial Local Government Unit (PLGU) and harmonizing it with the command’s program on PCVE.

Maj. Gen. Uy has assured the stakeholders that government forces will continue to protect communities against “violent extremism” being propagated by the Islamic State-linked Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) and other lawless elements in Maguindanao.

“Radicalization factors” must be addressed, there must be a peace-building efforts through this program AGILA – HAVEN which will helped prevent extremism in Maguindanao and halt the recruitment of the terrorist-tagged groups in this province” explained by Gov. Mangudadatu.

Meanwhile, the program was highlighted by the distributions of livelihood assistance to the former violent extremists (FVEs) and the provisions of rescue/utility vehicle to the school district supervisors and other department of the provincial local government of Maguindanao.

Also in attendance during the said program were Mohajeran Balayman, Provincial Administrator of LGU Maguindanao; BGen Antonio Nafarrete, Chairman of Government of the Philippines – Coordinating Committee on the Cessation of Hostilities (GPH CCCH); MP Jose Lorena, Deputy Minister of Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education and P/Col Donald Madamba, Provincial Director, Maguindanao Police Provincial Office.
