BALER, Aurora – Four members withdrew their membership from the group of “Panlalawigang Alyansang Magbubukid ng Aurora (PAMANA) and voluntary surrendered to 91st Infantry “Sinagtala” Battalion, Philippine Army on Wednesday (September 30, 2020).



LTC REANDREW P RUBIO, (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer of 91st IB said that Pamana in this province is one of the Sectoral Front Organizations (SFOs) of the CPP-NPA-NDF.

He added that 1LT CARLO OMAYON (SC) PA, Charlie Company Commander of 91st IB, Aurora Police provincial office, Maria Aurora Police Station and other security forces in this province facilitated the surrender of the four.

Linda Gutierrez of Barangay Dianawan, Maria Aurora, Aurora led the voluntarily surrender and withdrew their support and membership from PAMANA and other SFOs to the government troops.

“Minsan na akong naging miyembro ng PAMANA sa pagaakalang ako ay matutulungan sa aking problema sa usaping lupa subalit sa maikling panahon na umaasa ako sa tulong na pinangako ay wala naman kaya ang ginawa ko ay lumayo at humiwalay na sa samahan dahil wala naman pala akong maasahan na tulong kaya hindi na ako nagpupunta sa mga patawag nila na pulong o meeting,” Gutierrez said.

Back to LTC RUBIO, he said they vowed allegiance to the government and denounced the deceptive scheme and evil tactics of the Communist Terrorist Group. They also realized that they were just used for the benefit of the communist organization.

The Battalion Commander added that the withdrawal of support of another Pamana members manifests that the said organization is now weakened and losing its mass supporters due to influx of withdrawal of support and membership of their leaders, members and supporters.

The surrender of the four was materialized through intelligence buildup and civil military operation (CMO) conducted by the government troops.

The surrenderers are now undergoing initial interview at the 91st IB Headquarter for documentation and proper disposition.
