Posted to Kalinaw News (Oct 30, 2020): Another three ASG members yielded to the Government
Indanan, Sulu. The ongoing joint peace efforts of the Patikul MTF ELAC and 1102nd Brigade has continously and effectively diminishing the terrorist group in the Municipality of Patikul as another three (3) of its members surrender to the government troops on 30 October 2020.
The troops of 6SFBn under the able leadership of its Acting Commanding Officer , LTC RAFAEL P CAIDO INF (GSC) PA together with the Chairwoman of Brgy Kaunayan Hon Sitti Ina Tani succefully facilitated the surrender of @ Dexter under the ASG Sub leader Tuan Anoh , @Abu Sadad under the late ASG sub leader Sibih Pisih and @ Splakang under the late ASG Sub Leader Ekoh Udjaman. They bring along with them one (1) M1 Carbine , one (1) G1 battle rifle, one (1) M1 Garand rifle and several ammunitions of the said firearms. They were then presented to Commander , 1102nd Brigade BGEN IGNATIUS N PATRIMONIO PA , for the initial support and interview at Camp Bud Datu Brgy Tagbak, Indanan , Sulu.
The three (3) ASG have been part of the group roaming in the mountains of Patikul, Indanan and Talipao all of Sulu . They decided to return to the mainstream after being enlightened on the
government programs of helping them retrieve their normal lives.
” The continous decline of ASG membership in Patikul is the fruit of the whole of nation approach of the municipality in dealing with its current security challenges. With the Patikul MTF ELAC, we hope to bring more local leaders in helping us lure the remaining members of the ASG to surrender. This will led to the eventual nuetralization of the ASG paving for a peaceful Lupah Sug ” according to Bgen Patrimonio.
