Army promotes 524 soldiers

CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela, Oct. 10 (PIA) - At least 524 soldiers were promoted by the 5th Infantry Division, Philippine Army command based in Gamu town.

The donning of new ranks of the enlisted personnel was led by 5ID, PA Commanding General BGen. Laurence E. Mina inside the army camp on October 5, 2020.

Army Maj. Jekyll Julian Dulawan, 5ID, PA Division Public Affairs chief, said that at least 121 of the promoted Enlisted Personnel are assigned inside the army camp while the others are assigned in the different units of 5ID.

Dulawan said that while the camp is properly observing the NTF-IATF health protocols, the donning of rank activity was strictly observed wih the wearing of face mask, face shield and observance on social distancing.

BGen. Laurence E. Mina, 5ID, PA commander urged the newly-promoted enlisted soldiers to prove their capabilities and worthiness as disciplined soldiers in performing their tasks in their work assignments.

“Your promotion is also carried with larger responsibility and you must abide by lawful orders from the higher command,” Mina said.

He said promotions deserve more responsibilities, higher expectations and bigger demands in performing your respective assignments.

“Your Star Troopers family is happy to see you step higher in your careers. I truly hope that you will be inspired to do more than what is expected of you, Congratulations!” Mina said. (BME/MGE/PIA 2-Isabela)
