Camp Navarro, Calarian, Zamboanga City- September 14, 2020.
A total of 11 battle casualties currently recuperating at the hospitals in Zamboanga City received “in-kind” assistance from the Department of Interior and Local Government on September 14, 2020.
The handing over of assistance from DILG City Director Ginagene Vaño Uy to four batcas and to the liaison/representatives of those who are confined in private hospitals, was held at Camp Navarro General Hospital in Camp Navarro, Calarian, Zamboanga City.
The DILG official and personnel were accompanied by Brig. Gen. Antonio Nafarrete, WestMinCom Deputy Commander for Administration and Col. Leonardo Peña, Chief of Unified Command Staff.
“On behalf of the recipients, I would like to express my deep appreciation to the initiative of the DILG to morally support our wounded soldiers. Your simple act of generosity means a lot to our brothers-in-arms,” said Maj. Gen. Corleto Vinluan, Jr., WestMinCom Commander.
Included in the donated goods were food packs, hygiene kits, and vitamins.
