BUTUAN CITY – Strict quarantine protocols are being observed at the entrance examination to Philippine Military Academy (PMA) for Caraga Region that started Wednesday until Saturday in Bayugan City.
Maj. Francisco P. Garello, Jr., civil-military operations officer of the Army's 402 Infantry Brigade (402Bde), told Philippine News Agency Wednesday that the examination for the region is being conducted at the Lope Asis Memorial Gymnasium in Bayugan City, Agusan del Norte.
“The examination starts at 8 in the morning and expected to last from three to four hours,” Garello said, adding that examinees from various parts of the Caraga Region are fetched every morning on a free ride from here to Bayugan City.
“There were 556 examinees who registered online here in Caraga and we expect them all to take the examination until Saturday,” Garello said.
As of Wednesday morning, a total of 222 examinees showed up at the venue of the examination.
“Strict quarantine protocols will be observed during the duration of the entrance examination to protect the examinees from the threat of the pandemic,” Garello said.
Aside from the regular requirements, the examinees were also required to wear facemasks, face shields, and to bring disinfectants for their personal use while taking the examination.
Examinees are also asked to bring a medical certificate issued within 48 to 72 hours, Garello said.
