From the Philippine Information Agency (Apr 11, 2020): Former rebel shot to death in Calbiga, Samar (By PIA-8)
TACLOBAN CITY, April 11 (PIA) -- A 30-year-old surrenderee who used to be a member of the Sqd 2, SYP Pltn, FC-SS1, SRC Sesame, EVRPC, and a resident of Brgy, Daligan, Calbiga, Samar, was shot to death on April 9 about 12:23 p.m., by two unidentified perpetrators wearing bonnet mask, at his farm lot about 1.5 kilometers away from the barangay proper.
An incident report coming from the 8th Infantry Division and Police Regional Office 8, stated that the victim, a certain @MARWAN (TN: Ildefonso T Nablo Jr (PSRL) who surrendered to the 46th Infantry Battalion of the 8ID on October 11, 2019 , suffered gunshot wounds on the right portion of his ear, one on his back and right portion of his thigh using suspected cal .45 pistol that resulted to his instantaneous death.
Suspects fled away towards east direction bringing along one cal .45 pistol and a bag with cash inside owned by the victim.
The PRO-8 said the remains of the victim was brought to the Calbiga Rural Health Unit for post mortem examinations.
RCSP Team from 46th IB, 8ID deployed in Brgy. Daligan immediately responded to the place of the incident.
The Calbiga Municipal Police together with Intel operatives of 46th IB, 8ID are now conducting investigation to identify the perpetrators and the possible motives for the crime. (PIA8)
