SAN JOSE, Tarlac, April 14 (PIA) -- About 250 Aeta families of Sitio Derita, Barangay Maamot in San Jose town received relief packs from the Northern Luzon Command (NOLCOM) and 3rd Mechanized Infantry Battalion (3rd MIB).
3rd MIB Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel Norberto Aromin Jr. explained that the relief goods came from the two-meal subsistence allowance of the NOLCOM officers and personnel.
Each family pack distributed contains three kilos of rice, eggs, noodles, canned goods and dried fish.

“3rd MIB will always help, support and respond to the needs of the tribal communities located in the remote areas most especially in this time of health crisis,” Aromin noted.
For his part, Sitio Derita Tribal Chieftain Philip Tiago thanked the soldiers for choosing their community as a beneficiary of their relief assistance amid the coronavirus disease pandemic. (CLJD/TJBM-PIA 3)
