MALAYBALAY CITY, Bukidnon, Feb. 21 -- The 4th Division (Mentor) Training School (4DTS) welcomed another batch of newly assigned 2LTs in the 4th Infantry Division on Tuesday, February 18.

These group of 2LTs is composed of eighteen individuals who came from the different provinces of Philippines: four from Kalinga province, and one each from the provinces and Cities of Nueva Ecija, Nueva Viscaya, Baguio City, Benguet, Quezon City, Masbate, Antique, Negros Oriental, Apayao, Dipolog City, Tarlac, Isabela, Cavite, and Tacloban City.

They will undergo the Platoon Leader Orientation Course (PLOC) to enhance their tactical capabilities and competencies before their deployment to the different line units of the 4th Infantry Division.


The PLOC will help them understand the operational complexities of the division, Indigenous People's cultural sensitivities, concept of the Community Support Program, and best practices.

Lt.Col. Ronald M. Illana, the newly-installed Commandant of the school and fresh from being the Battalion Commander of 8IB with numerous accomplishments in the pursuit of peace and development in Bukidnon, is more than willing to share his wide range of experiences in the field as an Army Officer that the young Lieutenants can take lessons.

"We will ensure that these 2LTs will be steered to the best directions that they can follow to survive while carrying out their mission with remarkable achievements," he said. (4DTS, PA)
