VIRAC, Catanduanes (PIA) - As part of its intensifying campaign to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (ELCAC), the Catanduanes 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company of the PNP Catanduanes Police Provincial Office will conduct mural painting contest on Tuesday, September 3.

During the "PIA Kapihan sa PBS Radyo Pilipinas" aired Friday, Police Corporal Joy Salodao, Patrolman Jannice B. Bandola, and Patrolman Grace Competente announced that the activity is open to 11 local government units of the province, Philippine Army, SK Provincial Federation and members of the Task Force.

The event will take place at Camp Francisco Camacho, San Isidro Village, Virac Catanduanes, from 6 am to 5 pm.


According to Bandola, the activity is also part of their campaign against terrorism and violent extremism of CPP-NPA-NDF recruitment and their unlawful deeds and other lawless elements.

The theme for this years contest is: "Kabataan Sagipin sa Mapanlinlang na Idolohiya ng mga Mapang-Abusong Teroristang CPP-NPA-NDF.”
