1Lt. Maria AlleinVeluz, Civil Military Operations officer of the 62nd Infantry Battalion, said yesterday that the seven suspects were involved in an encounter with Army soldiers in May in Brgy. Tan-awan, Kabankalan City.
Veluz added that the seven arrested suspects have pending warrants for two counts of murder and six counts of frustrated murder, issued by Kabankalan Regional Trial Court Judge Rodney Magbanua.
Other respondents in murder and frustrated murder complaints are Rodrigo Medez, alias Salvo, Jimmy Teves, Jodito Montecino, Jeppy Romano, Eliseo Andres and Jack Sabanal, who were apprehended simultaneously on Wednesday in Sitios Bito, Balatugan and Dawhan, all in Brgy.
