The son of the late Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) leader Ghazali Jaafar will take his place in the Bangsamoro interim government.
Mudjib Abu was appointed Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) member by President Rodrigo Duterte. His appointment paper was signed on Monday, May 20, and was made public on Thursday, May 23.
The document states he will be replacing his father in the new region's interim governing body.
Diplomatic appointments
The Palace released other appointment papers on Thursday, including that of mining magnate Fernando "Ding" Borja as Special Envoy of the President to Japan for Business and Investment Promotion.
Borja had previously served several terms as Duterte's Special Envoy to China. His appointment paper, signed on May 20, says he will serve his new role for 6 months.
Grepor Belgica, an evangelist and the father of Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission commissioner Greco Belgica, was appointed Presidential Adviser for Religious Affairs.
Almarim Centi Tillah was named Special Envoy of the President to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and will serve from January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2019.
