Amid the intensified operation, troops of the 15th Division Reconnaissance Company engaged with 50 Communist NPA Terrorists in Barangay Malna, Kapai, Lanao del Sur at 8 am today, April 8.
The heavy firefight resulted to the wounding of 6 soldiers and death of another while casualty on the enemy side is yet to be determined.
Wounded personnel were immediately evacuated to the nearest hospital for medical attention.
Pursuit operation is still being conducted.
